TL;DR: In this article, an organic card with 48 integrated waveguides and a silicon-carrier interposer was used for Tb/s-class optical links, and the authors demonstrated a 4×12-array optical transmitters and receivers operating at up to 20 GHz and 14 GHz per channel, respectively, with <10 mW-per-Gb/s link power dissipation.
