Nano-hives for plant stimuli controlled targeted iron fertilizer application
TL;DR: In this article, the chitosan coating on iron powder loaded mesoporous silica has been found to control the above undesired soil reaction, which closed the pores in the presence of carbonate ions to keep the iron in phyto-available forms, whereas open the pores for the uptake proton signal from the roots.

Ecofriendly Fruit Switches: Graphene Oxide-Based Wrapper for Programmed Fruit Preservative Delivery To Extend Shelf Life.
Sandeep Kr. Sharma,Badal Kumar Biswal,Divya Kumari,Pulkit Bindra,Satish Kumar,Tsering Stobdan,Vijayakumar Shanmugam +6 more
TL;DR: To maximize loading and to overcome the challenge of GO reduction by hydrazine, two-step activation with ethylenediamine and 4-nitrophenyl chloroformate respectively, are followed and the final composite shows efficient preservative release with the stimuli of the overripe fruit juice and improves the fruit shelf life.
