Establishment of Two Ectomycorrhizal Shrub Species in a Semiarid Site after in Situ Amendment with Sugar Beet, Rock Phosphate, and Aspergillus niger
Fuensanta Caravaca,Maria del Mar Alguacil,Rosario Azcón,Javier Parladé,Pilar Torres,Antonio Roldán +5 more
TL;DR: The combined treatment, involving mycorrhizal inoculation of seedlings and addition of the amendment directly into soil, had no additive effect on the growth of either shrub species.

Long-term effects of irrigation with waste water on soil AM fungi diversity and microbial activities: the implications for agro-ecosystem resilience.
TL;DR: The ecosystem resilience gave rise to the selection of AMF species better able to thrive in soils with higher microbial activity and, thus, to higher soil fertility, as no negative effects were observed on crop vitality and productivity.
Effects of pH, water stress and temperature on in vitro cultures of ectomycorrhizal fungi from Mediterranean forests
TL;DR: Most species had the lowest colony diameters and biomass production at pH 2.5 and all species grew at the lowest values of temperature whereas only H. edurum and L. deliciosus showed a clear affinity for neutral or slightly basic media.

In Vitro Evaluation of a Soluble Leishmania Promastigote Surface Antigen as a Potential Vaccine Candidate against Human Leishmaniasis
Rym Chamakh-Ayari,Rachel Bras-Gonçalves,Narges Bahi-Jaber,Elodie Petitdidier,Wafa Markikou-Ouni,Karim Aoun,Javier Moreno,Eugenia Carrillo,Poonam Salotra,Himanshu Kaushal,Narender Singh Negi,Jorge Arevalo,Francesca Falconi-Agapito,Angela Privat,Maria Cruz,Julie Pagniez,Gérard-Marie Papierok,Faten Bel Haj Rhouma,Pilar Torres,Jean-Loup Lemesre,Mehdi Chenik,Amel Meddeb-Garnaoui +21 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the LaPSA-38S protein was able to induce a mixed Th1 and Th2/Treg cytokine response in individuals with immunity to L. major or L. infantum infection indicating that it may be exploited as a vaccine candidate.
In vitro mycorrhization of micropropagated Helianthemum almeriense plantlets with Terfezia claveryi (desert truffle)
TL;DR: In vitro survival of the plantlets was the limiting step and mycorrhizal inoculation appeared to improve the survival rate of rooted plantlets and the effect of the mineral composition and pH of the medium on survival are discussed.
