Supramolecular assemblies of a 1,8-naphthalimide conjugate and its aggregation-induced emission property
Souvik Misra,Pijush Singh,Ankita Das,Paula Brandão,Pathik Sahoo,Nayim Sepay,Gourab Bhattacharjee,Pallab Datta,Ajit Kumar Mahapatra,Biswarup Satpati,Jayanta Nanda +10 more
- 14 Dec 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, a 1,8-naphthalimide conjugate of a dipeptide was found to exhibit J-type aggregation in the solid and solution state, and also in the gel state.
DBU-Catalyzed Rearrangement of Secondary Propargylic Alcohols: An Efficient and Cost-Effective Route to Chalcone Derivatives
Rimpa De,Antony Savarimuthu,Tamal Ballav,Pijush Singh,Jayanta Nanda,Avantika Hasija,Deepak Chopra,Mrinal K. Bera +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU)-catalyzed rearrangement of diarylated secondary propargylic alcohols to give α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds has been developed.

Phenylalanine-based fibrillar systems
Soumen Kuila,Sukantha Dey,Pijush Singh,Akash Shrivastava,Jayanta Nanda +4 more
TL;DR: This is the first-ever etymological analysis of the Phe-fibrillar system and its inhibition to create a strong database against PKU and discusses how non-covalent interactions are involved in the self-assembly process using spectroscopic and microscopic techniques.

Tuning of the Supramolecular Helicity of Peptide-Based Gel Nanofibers.
Souvik Misra,Pijush Singh,Ajeet Kumar Singh,Lisa Roy,Soumen Kuila,Sukantha Dey,Ajit Kumar Mahapatra,Jayanta Nanda +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , the inversion of supramolecular helicity has been extensively studied by CD spectroscopy and morphological analysis, and it has been shown that methylene spacers influence the orientation of π-π stacking interactions of naphthalimide units in the self-assembled structure that regulates the helicity.
Single amino-acid based self-assembled biomaterials with potent antimicrobial activity
Souvik Misra,Soumyajit Mukherjee,Anamika Ghosh,Pijush Singh,Sanjoy Mondal,Debes Ray,Gourav Bhattacharya,Debabani Ganguly,Alok Ghosh,Vinod K. Aswal,Ajit Kumar Mahapatra,Biswarup Satpati,Jayanta Nanda +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined whether flexibility and aromatic functionality of phenylalanine (Phe) are important in gel formation of model gelator Fmoc-Phe-OH or not.
