Human full-length coagulation factor X and a GLA domain-derived 40-mer polypeptide bind to different regions of the adenovirus serotype 5 hexon capsomer.

TL;DR: HAdV 5-Luc complexed with a bifunctional GLA(mim)RGD peptide showed a lesser hepatotropism, compared with control HAdV5-Luc alone, and efficiently targeted αβ-integrin-overexpressing tumor cells in an in vivo mouse tumor model, opening new perspectives in the design of adenoviral vectors for biotherapy.
Characterization of adenovirus protein IX.
TL;DR: Analysis of 35S-methionine-labelled infected cell extracts in a two-dimensional gel system showed that the synthesis of polypeptide IX could be detected early in infection, i.e. in the presence of an inhibitor of DNA synthesis.
Involvement of cellular adhesion sequences in the attachment of adenovirus to the HeLa cell surface.
TL;DR: Results suggested that Ad2 and extracellular matrix proteins recognize similar adhesion sequences at the surface of HeLa cells, or alternatively that integrins and Ad2 receptors have overlapping ligand specificity.
Canine adenovirus type 2 attachment and internalization: coxsackievirus-adenovirus receptor, alternative receptors, and an RGD-independent pathway.
Claire Soudais,Sylvie Boutin,Saw See Hong,Miguel Chillón,Olivier Danos,Jeffrey M. Bergelson,Pierre Boulanger,Eric J. Kremer +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that CAV-2 transduction is augmented by CAR and possibly by αvβ5, though transduction can be CAR and αv β3/5independent but is αMβ2, MHC-I, and RGD independent, demonstrating a transduction mechanism which is distinct from that of Ad2/5.
A versatile and scalable two-step ion-exchange chromatography process for the purification of recombinant adeno-associated virus serotypes-2 and -5.
Nicole Brument,Robert Morenweiser,Véronique Blouin,Estelle Toublanc,Isabelle Raimbaud,Yan Cherel,Sebastien Folliot,Florence Gaden,Pierre Boulanger,Gabrielle Kroner-Lux,Philippe Moullier,Fabienne Rolling,Anna Salvetti +12 more
TL;DR: In vitro and in vivo results demonstrate that the development of a two-step chromatography process based on the use of ion-exchange resins for the purification of recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) serotypes-2 and-5 can be applied to obtain highly pure rAAV2 and r AAV5 stocks.
