The south Tibetan detachment system in the Rongbuk valley, Everest region. Deformation features and geological implications
TL;DR: In this article, structural and microstructural investigations into the South Tibetan Detachment System in the Rongbuk valley (southern Tibet) pointed to the presence of a complex extensional setting with the development of two major fault zones with movement in a top-to-NE direction.

Geology and tectonomagmatic evolution of the eastern Himalaya along the Chomolungma-Makalu transect
TL;DR: In this article, a transect of the Lesser Himalayan Crystallines was studied along a traning in the eastern Nepal Himalaya and southern Tibet, and the authors found that the deformation of the upper part of the Tumlingtar unit is associated with the upper amphibolite facies (Barun Gneiss) of granitic orthogneiss.

Geology of the Higher Himalayan Crystallines in Khumbu Himal (Eastern Nepal)
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the current geological knowledge and the results of new geological and structural investigations in the Cho Oyu-Sagarmatha-Makalu region (Eastern Nepal and Southern Tibet).

Late Hercynian shear zones in Sardinia
TL;DR: In this paper, the meso-and microstructural deformation features are discussed and two maps of the different deformative zones within the shear zones have been prepared and both displacements have been calculated.
