Complex silica composite nanomaterials templated with DNA origami.
Xiaoguo Liu,Xiaoguo Liu,Fei Zhang,Fei Zhang,Xinxin Jing,M. X. Pan,Pi Liu,Pi Liu,Wei Li,Bowen Zhu,Jiang Li,Jiang Li,Hong Chen,Lihua Wang,Jianping Lin,Jianping Lin,Yan Liu,Dongyuan Zhao,Hao Yan,Chunhai Fan +19 more
TL;DR: The Stöber method, widely used for producing silica (silicon dioxide) nanostructures) can be adjusted to overcome this difficulty: when synthesis conditions are such that mineral precursor molecules do not deposit directly but first form clusters, DNA–silica hybrid materials that faithfully replicate the complex geometric information of a wide range of different DNA origami scaffolds are readily obtained.

Capturing transient antibody conformations with DNA origami epitopes.
Ping Zhang,Xiaoguo Liu,Pi Liu,Fei Wang,Hirotaka Ariyama,Toshio Ando,Jianping Lin,Jianping Lin,Lihua Wang,Jun Hu,Bin Li,Chunhai Fan +11 more
TL;DR: A triangular DNA origami framework with site-specifically anchored and spatially organized artificial epitopes to capture transient conformations of immunoglobulin Gs (IgGs) at room temperature is developed and established the critical dependence of the IgG avidity on the lateral distance of epitopes within 3–20 nm at the single-molecule level.

DNA Framework-Encoded Mineralization of Calcium Phosphate
Xiaoguo Liu,Xinxin Jing,Pi Liu,Pi Liu,M. X. Pan,Zhuo Liu,Xinpei Dai,Jianping Lin,Jianping Lin,Qian Li,Fei Wang,Sichun Yang,Lihua Wang,Chunhai Fan +13 more
TL;DR: It is established that the size and shape of DNA-CaP nanostructures are programmed by the structural information encoded within DNA sequences and the electrostatic interactions between DNA phosphate backbone and mineral counterparts.

Data-Driven Synthetic Cell Factories Development for Industrial Biomanufacturing
Zhenkun Shi,Pi Liu,Xiaoping Liao,Zhi-Tao Mao,Jianqi Zhang,Qinhong Wang,Jibin Sun,Hong Ma,Yanhe Ma +8 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that data-driven methods should be integrated with mechanistic models to complement each other and facilitate the development of synthetic strains for industrial biomanufacturing.
