Trophoblast-like cells sorted from peripheral maternal blood using flow cytometry: a multiparametric study involving transmission electron microscopy and fetal DNA amplification.
J. F. Bruch,Philippe Metezeau,N. Garcia-Fonknechten,Yolande Richard,V. Tricottet,B.-L. Hsi,A. Kitzis,C. Julien,Emile Papiernik +8 more
TL;DR: At the ultra‐structural level, most of the nucleated cells had the morphology of leucocytes, suggesting maternal contaminants, and the authors did not find the characteristic features of the free inter‐villous trophoblast cells.

Distribution of MHC class I and of MHC class II molecules in macrophages infected with Leishmania amazonensis
Thierry Lang,C. De Chastellier,C. Frehel,Raymond Hellio,Philippe Metezeau,Sd Leao,Jean-Claude Antoine +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that, 48 hours after infection of Balb/c macrophages, in about 90% of PV containing MHC class II molecules, the latter were mainly or solely localized at the attachment zone of amastigotes to PV membranes, which agrees with the idea that PV-associated MHCclass II molecules establish specific interactions with plasma membrane components of amastsigotes.

Direct hybridization of sorted human chromosomes: localization of the Y chromosome on the flow karyotype
Alain Bernheim,Philippe Metezeau,Georges Guellaen,Marc Fellous,Michel Goldberg,Roland Berger +5 more
TL;DR: By using probes specific for the human Y chromosome, it has been possible to unambiguously identify the peak corresponding to the Y chromosome in the flow karyotypes of a variety of male cell lines, and the position of this peak was found to vary significantly from individual to individual, correlating with the heterochromatin chromosomal polymorphism of thehuman Y chromosome.

Improvement of flow cytometry analysis and sorting of bull spermatozoa by optical monitoring of cell orientation as evaluated by DNA specific probing.
Philippe Metezeau,Corinne Cotinot,Guy Colas,Martine Azoulay,Hélène Kiefer,Michel Goldberg,Marek Kirszenbaum +6 more
TL;DR: This work describes alternative methods and materials for selection of decondensed and thus dead spermatozoa without orientation and works out a molecular hybridization procedure using X and Y specific DNA probes for enrichment of each selected fraction.

Flow cytometry isolation and improved visualization of sorted mouse chromosomes: Purification of chromosomes X and ISO-1 from cell lines with Robertsonian translocations☆☆☆
Bruno Baron,Philippe Metezeau,Françoise Kelly,Alain Bernheim,Roland Berger,Jean-Louis Guénet,Michel Goldberg +6 more
TL;DR: The technical modifications made, coupled with the existence of a great diversity of metacentric chromosomes resulting from Robertsonian translocations, should allow the purification of a number of different mouse chromosomes.
