Neutron diffraction study of the structure of deuterated ice VIII to 10 GPa.
R. J. Nelmes,John Loveday,R. M. Wilson,J. M. Besson,Ph. Pruzan,Stefan Klotz,Gérard Hamel,Stephen Hull +7 more
TL;DR: The pressure dependence of the structure of deuterated ice VIII has been studied by time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction up to 10 GPa and it appears that the form of the O-H potential is constant with pressure.

Equation of state of ice vii up to 106 gpa
E. Wolanin,Ph. Pruzan,Jean-Claude Chervin,B. Canny,Michel Gauthier,Daniel Häusermann,Michael Hanfland +6 more
TL;DR: Using angle-dispersive x-ray powder diffraction and image plate detector, the equations of state of H{sub 2}O and D{ sub 2]O ice VII, corrected for deviatoric strain, were determined up to 106 GPa and 60 GPa, respectively.

Experimental evidence for a second-order transformation prior to melting in ammonia, organic compounds and ice I
TL;DR: The isothermal compressibility of ammonia and expansivity of different classes of molecular organic compounds are observed to have a power-law behavior with an exponent around 1 2 in the so-called premelting region, showing that these solids undergo a second-order phase transformation prior to melting as discussed by the authors.

Raman Scattering and X-ray Diffraction of Ice in the Megabar Range. Occurrence of a Symmetric Disordered Solid above 62 GPa
Ph. Pruzan,E. Wolanin,Michel Gauthier,Jean-Claude Chervin,B. Canny,Daniel Häusermann,Michael Hanfland +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a systematic study of ice by Raman scattering and X-ray diffraction in the megabar range is reported, which focuses on the possible occurrence of a symmetric state (ice X).
