Vulvar squamous cell carcinoma and papilloma viruses: Two separate entities?
Willie A. Andersen,Douglas W. Franquemont,John V. Williams,Peyton T. Taylor,Christopher P. Crum +4 more
TL;DR: Intraepithelial-like neoplasms segregated in women with a younger mean age than that of women with conventional squamous cell carcinoma and they more frequently had a history of cigarette smoking suggest that many invasive vulvar cancers may not be linked to papillomaviruses.

An Association Between Trichomonas vaginalis and High-Risk Human Papillomavirus in Rural Tanzanian Women Undergoing Cervical Cancer Screening
Gweneth B. Lazenby,Peyton T. Taylor,Barbara S. Badman,Emil Mchaki,Jeffrey E. Korte,David E. Soper,Jennifer Young Pierce +6 more
TL;DR: Among rural Tanzanian women who presented for cervical cancer screening, Trichomonas vaginitis was significantly associated with HR HPV infection (specifically type 16), and patients with TV were six times more likely to have HPV type 16 than patients negative for TV.

Malignant melanoma of the vagina and locoregional control: radical surgery revisited.
TL;DR: It is suggested that locoregional control may be obtained with even large melanomas with radiotherapy when administered in high individual fractions (greater than 400 cGy/fx), consistent with the higher response rate seen with cutaneous melanomas when large individual fractions are compared to conventional fractionation.

Sentinel node biopsy in vulvar and vaginal melanoma: presentation of six cases and a literature review.
Liana Abramova,Jaysheree Parekh,William P. Irvin,Laurel W. Rice,Peyton T. Taylor,Willie A. Anderson,Craig L. Slingluff +6 more
TL;DR: This experience, plus reports of a small number of patients from three similar studies, supports the impression that sentinel lymph node biopsy is feasible for vulvar and vaginal melanoma.

Sensitivity and specificity of endocervical curettage and the endocervical brush for the evaluation of the endocervical canal
Willie A. Andersen,Henry F. Frierson,Shannon R. Barber,Sana Tabbarah,Peyton T. Taylor,Paul B. Underwood +5 more
TL;DR: The utility of endocervical curettage to detect cervical intraepithelial neoplasia in the endOCervical canal appears to be dependent on the adequacy of the specimen.
