Routine immunizations in adult renal transplant recipients.
TL;DR: In transplant recipients, tetanus and inactivated polio vaccinations are well tolerated and induce protective antibody levels; diphtheria vaccination as currently recommended is less effective and protective antitoxin values decrease rapidly in these patients within 1 year after vaccination.

Deficient EBV-specific B- and T-cell response in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome.
Madlen Loebel,Kristin Strohschein,Carolin Giannini,Uwe Koelsch,Sandra Bauer,Cornelia Doebis,Sybill Thomas,Nadine Unterwalder,Volker von Baehr,Petra Reinke,Michael Knops,Leif G. Hanitsch,Christian Meisel,Hans-Dieter Volk,Carmen Scheibenbogen +14 more
TL;DR: Evidence is given for a deficient EBV-specific B- and T-cell memory response in CFS patients and an impaired ability to control early steps of EBV reactivation is suggested, suggesting the diminished EBV response might be suitable to develop diagnostic marker in C FS.
High levels of CMV-IE-1-specific memory T cells are associated with less alloimmunity and improved renal allograft function
Peter Nickel,Gantuja Bold,Franziska Presber,Didier Biti,Nina Babel,Stephanie Kreutzer,Johann Pratschke,Constanze Schönemann,Florian Kern,Hans-Dieter Volk,Petra Reinke +10 more
TL;DR: No evidence for heterologous immunity could be found in patients with high levels of CMV-specific T cells, and the importance of immediate early antigens (IE) as targets for T-cell immunity to CMV is emphasized.

TL;DR: It is concluded that in vitro aging rather than in vivo donor aging influences BMSC characteristics, and BMSCs from both cohorts meet the standard criteria for MSC, exhibiting similar morphology, growth kinetics, gene expression profiles, and pro-angiogenic and immunosuppressive potential.
