Nuclear inelastic scattering and density functional theory studies of a one-dimensional spin crossover [Fe(1,2,4-triazole)2(1,2,4-triazolato)](BF4) molecular chain.
K. Jenni,Lena Scherthan,Isabelle Faus,Jennifer Marx,Cornelius Strohm,Marcus Herlitschke,Hans-Christian Wille,Peter Würtz,Volker Schünemann,Juliusz A. Wolny +9 more
TL;DR: DFT calculations reveal that the stabilisation of the low-spin state of the complex containing the anionic ligand and shortening of the Fe-N(trz-) compared to the Fe (trzH) bond in high-spin is caused by a change of the structure of the neighbours of theLow-spin centres.
Optical pump - nuclear resonance probe experiments on spin crossover complexes
S. Sakshath,K. Jenni,Lena Scherthan,Peter Würtz,Marcus Herlitschke,Ilya Sergeev,Cornelius Strohm,Hans-Christian Wille,Ralf Röhlsberger,Juliusz A. Wolny,Volker Schünemann +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel sample environment enabling optical pump experiments has been installed at the beamline P01, Petra III, DESY Hamburg, which is used to investigate optically induced spin state changes of SCO complexes by nuclear resonant scattering immediately after excitation by an optical laser pulse.

Probing Bose-Einstein condensates by electron impact ionization
Peter Würtz,Tatjana Gericke,Tim Langen,Andreas Koglbauer,Herwig Ott +4 more
- 01 Nov 2008
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe an experiment that allows for the study of ultracold quantum gases by electron impact ionization, which combines a scanning electron microscope and an apparatus for the production of Bose-Einstein condensates of rubidium atoms.

Light-induced spin transition in the spin-crossover complex FePt 2 detected by optical pump -coherent resonant nuclear elastic scattering
Sakshath Sadashivaiah,K. Jenni,Lena Scherthan,Bernhard Schäfer,Marcus Herlitschke,Peter Würtz,Cornelius Strohm,Ilya Sergeev,Hans-Christian Wille,Ralf Röhlsberger,Juliusz A. Wolny,Mario Ruben,Mario Ruben,Volker Schünemann +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of optical pump-nuclear resonance probe experiments on the SCO complex [FeII(L-PtII(t-but-tpy))2] were reported.

Observation of local temporal correlations in trapped quantum gases.
TL;DR: In this paper, the temporal pair correlation function of a trapped gas of bosons above and below the critical temperature for Bose-Einstein condensation was measured in situ by using a local, time-resolved single-atom sensitive probing technique.
