Equilibrium states of an elastic conducting rod in a magnetic field
Thomas I. Seidman,Peter Wolfe +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the equilibrium states of a nonlinearly elastic conducting rod in a magnetic field are analyzed and a new general technique is developed to justify these conditions; it then follows that minimizers satisfy the equilibrium conditions in the classical sense.

Some results on the boundary regularity of harmonic functions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider functions u which are harmonic in θ-I and continuous in ǫ, and they show that in this case the normal derivatives will exist in a Sobolev-like space of distributions.

The effect of bending stiffness on inextensible cables
TL;DR: In this article, the problem of an inextensible hanging cable loaded by its own weight is treated as a singular perturbation of the perfectly flexible case and constructed an approximate solution by introducing boundary layer terms.
