(S)-1-((S)-2-{[1-(4-Amino-3-chloro-phenyl)-methanoyl]-amino}-3,3-dimethyl-butanoyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid ((2R,3S)-2-ethoxy-5-oxo-tetrahydro-furan-3-yl)-amide (VX-765), an Orally Available Selective Interleukin (IL)-Converting Enzyme/Caspase-1 Inhibitor, Exhibits Potent Anti-Inflammatory Activities by Inhibiting the Release of IL-1β and IL-18
Woods Wannamaker,Robert J. Davies,Mark N. Namchuk,John Pollard,Pamella J. Ford,George Ku,Caroline Decker,Paul S. Charifson,Peter Weber,Ursula A. Germann,Keisuke Kuida,John C. R. Randle +11 more
TL;DR: VX-765 reduced disease severity and the expression of inflammatory mediators in models of rheumatoid arthritis and skin inflammation and it inhibited lipopolysaccharide-induced cytokine secretion.

Ultrasonic medical device and associated method
Peter J. Wilk,Timothy J. Nohara,Peter Weber +2 more
- 26 Feb 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, a medical system includes a carrier and a multiplicity of electromechanical transducers mounted to the carrier, the transducers being disposable in effective pressure-wave-transmitting contact with a patient.

Tetrahydrofurane - an inhibitor for ethanol-induced liver microsomal cytochrome P450.
TL;DR: According to inhibition experiments, liver microsomes from male and female rats have a different pattern of cytochrome P450 species and only in these microsome tetrahydrofurance produced a pronounced ligand-type optical difference spectrum and concomitantly a new low-spin cy tochrome P 450 species in the EPR-spectrum.

Multi-channel moving target radar detection and imaging apparatus and method
Peter Weber,Timothy J. Nohara +1 more
- 07 Apr 2000
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a radar detection and imaging system for the simultaneous imaging of the stationary objects on the earth's surface and the detection of moving targets, which includes at least one transmitting aperture and a plurality of receiving apertures that are simultaneously operated in a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) mode caused by the motion of the satellite or airborne platform on which they are mounted.

- 20 Apr 2005
TL;DR: A real-time radar surveillance system comprises at least one land-based non-coherent radar sensor apparatus adapted for detecting maneuvering targets and targets of small or low radar cross-section as mentioned in this paper.
