TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics of inner valence hole states in isopropanol were investigated using an x-ray pump-x-ray probe experiment, with site and state-specific probing of a transient hole state localized near the oxygen atom in the molecule, together with an ab initio theoretical treatment.

TL;DR: The Time-Resolved atomic, molecular and optical science instrument (TMO) as mentioned in this paper is configured to take full advantage of both linear accelerators at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, the copper accelerator operating at a repetition rate of 120 Hz providing high per pulse energy, as well as the superconducting accelerator operating about 1 MHz providing high average intensity.

Oscillatory behavior of the valence photoionization properties of N2 and O2 due to coherent photoelectron emission from two sites
Jens Viefhaus,Markus Ilchen,Sascha Deinert,Leif Glaser,Frank Scholz,Peter Walter,Markus Braune,André Meißner,Lokesh Tribedi,Lokesh Tribedi,Uwe Becker +10 more
- 05 Nov 2012
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented first results for the valence photoionization of N2 and O2 showing oscillatory behavior in both, the partial cross section σ and the angular distribution asymmetry parameter β.

Multi-Resolution Electron Spectrometer Array for Future Free-Electron Laser Experiments
Peter Walter,Andrei Kamalov,Averell Gatton,Taran Driver,Dileep Bhogadi,Jean-Charles Castagna,Xianchao Cheng,Hongliang Shi,James P. Cryan,Wolfram Helml,Markus Ilchen,Ryan Coffee +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, an angular array of electron Time-of-Flight (eToF) spectrometers is designed for non-invasive spectral, temporal, and polarization characterization of single shots of high-repetition rate, quasi-continuous, short-wavelength Free-Electron Lasers (FELs) such as the LCLS-II at SLAC.
