A scalable virtual programmable real-time testbed for rapid multimedia service creation and evaluation
Christian Bachmeir,Peter Tabery,S. Uzumcu,Eckehard Steinbach +3 more
- 06 Jul 2003
TL;DR: Based on the proposed virtual programmable testbed (VPT), distributed multimedia services can be created and evaluated both fast and economically in emulated environments without expensive and complex hardware setup.

Handoff-triggered TCP (hot-TCP): performance and fairness evaluation
Peter Tabery,C. Schwinigenschlogl,D. Schmidt,Christian Bachmeir +3 more
- 26 Sep 2004
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a handoff-triggered TCP (hot-TCP), which enhances TCP's throughput in the case of frequent handoffs by allowing the client to be notified about the reconnection and can immediately resume data transmission using the previous window size.

A Convergence Architecture for GRID Computing and Programmable Networks
Christian Bachmeir,Peter Tabery,Dimitar Marinov,Georgi Nachev,Jörg Eberspächer +4 more
- 06 Jun 2004
TL;DR: The development of an appropriate middleware for provision of computing services in a scalable and secure manner is needed to enable fast data exchange among the distributed components of virtualized super-computers.
