Inflammation assessment in patients with arthritis using a novel in vivo fluorescence optical imaging technology
S. G. Werner,H.-E. Langer,Sarah Ohrndorf,Malte L. Bahner,Peter Schott,Carsten Schwenke,Michael Schirner,Hans Bastian,G. Lind-Albrecht,Bernward Kurtz,Gerd R Burmester,Marina Backhaus +11 more
TL;DR: Indocyanine green-enhanced FOI was more sensitive than CE and had good agreement with CE, US in power Doppler mode and MRI, while showing more positive results than these.

Indocyanine Green–Enhanced Fluorescence Optical Imaging in Patients With Early and Very Early Arthritis: A Comparative Study With Magnetic Resonance Imaging
S. G. Werner,H.-E. Langer,Peter Schott,Malte L. Bahner,Carsten Schwenke,G. Lind-Albrecht,Felicitas Spiecker,Bernward Kurtz,Gerd R Burmester,Marina Backhaus +9 more
TL;DR: If FOI has the potential to be a sensitive and valuable tool for monitoring disease activity on site in clinical settings and for serving as an outcome parameter in clinical trials, it is suggested that it allows sensitive and reliable detection of inflammatory changes in early arthritis.
