Lasting effects of a single psilocybin dose on resting-state functional connectivity in healthy individuals:
Drummond E-Wen McCulloch,M.K. Madsen,Dea S. Stenbæk,Sara Kristiansen,Brice Ozenne,Peter S Jensen,Gitte M. Knudsen,Patrick M. Fisher +7 more
TL;DR: Psilocybin is a psychedelic drug that has shown lasting positive effects on clinical symptoms and self-reported well-being following a single dose as mentioned in this paper, however, there has been little research into th...

Neuroticism associates with cerebral in vivo serotonin transporter binding differently in males and females
Lauri Tuominen,Jouko Miettunen,Dara M. Cannon,Wayne C. Drevets,V.G. Frokjaer,Jussi Hirvonen,Masanori Ichise,Peter S Jensen,Liisa Keltikangas-Järvinen,Jacqueline M. Klaver,Gitte M. Knudsen,Akihiro Takano,Tetsuya Suhara,Jarmo Hietala +13 more
TL;DR: It is found that neuroticism and thalamic serotonin transporter binding potentials were associated in both males and females, but with opposite directionality, which suggests that contribution of thalamus and striatum serotonin transporter to the risk of affective disorders depends on sex.
Lasting effects of a single psilocybin dose on resting-state functional connectivity in healthy individuals
Drummond E-Wen McCulloch,M.K. Madsen,Dea S. Stenbæk,Sara Kristiansen,Brice Ozenne,Peter S Jensen,Gitte M. Knudsen,Patrick M. Fisher +7 more
TL;DR: For instance, Cohen et al. as discussed by the authors examined changes in resting-state functional connectivity (RSFC) at one-week and three-months after one psilocybin dose in 10 healthy psychedelic-naive volunteers and explore associations between change in RSFC and related measures.
Brief communication Striatal dopamine transporter binding correlates with serum BDNF levels in patients with striatal dopaminergic neurodegeneration
Morten Ziebell,Usman Khalid,Anders B. Klein,Susana Aznar,Gerda Thomsen,Peter S Jensen,Gitte M. Knudsen +6 more
- 01 Jan 2012
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the relationship between striatal neurodegeneration as determined with 123 I-PE2I-single photon emission computer tomography (SPECT) and serum BDNF levels in patients with parkinsonism.
Psychometric Properties and Validation of the EMOTICOM Test Battery in a Healthy Danish Population.
Vibeke H. Dam,Christa K Thystrup,Peter S Jensen,Amy R. Bland,Erik Lykke Mortensen,Rebecca Elliott,Barbara J. Sahakian,Gitte M. Knudsen,Vibe G. Frokjaer,Dea S. Stenbæk +9 more
TL;DR: Overall, many of the EMOTICOM tasks were found to be useful and objective measures of hot cognition although select tasks may benefit from modifications to avoid floor and ceiling effects in healthy individuals.
