Laparoscopy versus laparotomy: an evaluation of adhesion formation after pelvic and paraaortic lymphadenectomy in a porcine model.
TL;DR: In this article, the transperitoneal laparoscopy group had significantly higher adhesion formation with a 100% (10 of 10) adhesion rate compared with both extraperitoneality laparotomy (EPL) and trans-teritoneal Laparoscopic (TLS) in a porcine model, and no differences were found when comparing adhesion thickness or the total surface area.

Jonathan Carter,Manhot Lau,Andrew K. Saltzman,Ellen M. Hartenbach,M.D. Chen,Peter R. Johnson,Jeffrey M. Fowler,Jay W. Carlson,Linda F. Carson,Leo B. Twiggs +9 more
TL;DR: Investigation of gray scale and color flow characteristics of a group of patients with a suspected uterine pathologic condition confirmed that malignant uterine tumors were more likely to have a thickened echoic endometrium and to lack a subendometrial halo.
