Carbon stripper foils held in place with carbon fibers
TL;DR: In this paper, the feasibility of manufacturing and shipping mounted carbon foils produced by arc evaporation was studied using two prototypes, and the foils were chosen for satisfactory mechanical strength consistent with minimal interference with the SNS beam.

TL;DR: In this paper, two coaxial couplers are used in parallel to power the accelerating structure with up to total 800 kW peak power at 6% duty cycle, and the results of high power RF conditioning were performed in the RF test facility of the SNS.
Operation of the superconducting linac at the spallation neutron source
Isidoro E Campisi,Fabio Casagrande,Mark Champion,Mark Crofford,M. Howell,Yoon W. Kang,Sang-Ho Kim,Zafer Kursun,Peter Ladd,D. Stout,W. Strong +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first fully operational pulsed superconducting linac has been active for about two years at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and stable beam operation at 44 K has been achieved with beam for repetition rates up to 15 Hz and 30 Hz at 21 K.
