In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for supporting a reactive response using a dependency injection (DI) framework. The DI framework can determine the dependencies of a response object, and invoke a plurality of services for retrieving dependency objects from backend systems to satisfy those dependencies. Each service can return a reactive object, which the DI framework can match to a dependency object, thereby enabling the DI framework to orchestrate asynchronous concurrent calls to the services on behalf of an application. Each reactive object can be used to retrieve a corresponding dependency object at a later time. The DI framework can use the dependency object to compose the response object and inject the response object to an application at the server environment.

Techniques and solutions are described for detecting malicious database activity, such as SQL injection attempts. A first machine learning classifier can be trained by comparing processed and unprocessed user input, where a difference between the two can indicate suspicious or malicious activity. The trained classifier can be used to analyze user input before query execution. A second machine learning classifier is trained with a data set that includes call stack information for an application requesting execution of a dynamic query and query statistics associated with processing of the query at the database. The query of the application can be correlated with a corresponding database query by hashing the application query and the database query and comparing the hash values, where matching hash value indicate a common query. The trained classifier can monitor execution of future queries to identify queries having anomalous patterns, which may indicate malicious or suspicious activity.

When the visual representation is moved, by a user, in relation to a second stencil, a determination is made, based on the location of the moved first stencil and the second stencil, that the first stencil violates the rule. The visual representation of the moved first stencil is modified to indicate the violation of the rule.
