Gene expression patterns in peripheral blood correlate with the extent of coronary artery disease.
Peter Sinnaeve,Mark P. Donahue,Peter Grass,David Seo,Jacky Vonderscher,Salah-Dine Chibout,William E. Kraus,Michael H. Sketch,Charlotte L. Nelson,Geoffrey S. Ginsburg,Pascal J. Goldschmidt-Clermont,Christopher B. Granger +11 more
TL;DR: The expression pattern of 160 genes in whole blood correlates with the severity of coronary artery disease and mirrors expression changes in the atherosclerotic vascular wall, showing that peripheral blood gene expression associated with coronary atherosclerosis mirrors gene expression changes with coronary disease.
Sandostatin® LAR®: A promising therapeutic tool in the management of acromegalic patients
Ioana Lancranjan,C. Bruns,Peter Grass,Philippe Jaquet,Jak Jervell,P. Kendall-Taylor,S. W. J. Lamberts,Peter Marbach,Hans Ørskov,G. Pagani,Michael C. Sheppard,L. Simionescu +11 more
TL;DR: Due to its excellent efficacy, good tolerability, convenience of administration, and acceptability by patients, Sandostatin LAR is considered a promising therapeutic tool in the management of acromegalic patients.

Sandostatin LAR®: Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, efficacy, and tolerability in acromegalic patients
Ioana Lancranjan,C. Bruns,Peter Grass,Philippe Jaquet,Jak Jervell,P. Kendall-Taylor,S. W. J. Lamberts,Peter Marbach,Hans Ørskov,G. Pagani,Michael C. Sheppard,L. Simionescu +11 more
TL;DR: A trend toward progressive suppression of GH secretion and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) serum concentrations was noted during long-term treatment with repeated (up to seven) IM injections of Sandostatin LAR®.

Sandostatin® LAR® (microencapsulated octreotide acetate) in acromegaly: Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic relationships
TL;DR: Based on the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationship of octreotide, a starting dose of 20 mg Sandostatin LAR and administrations every 4 weeks provide growth hormone (GH) control comparable to the thrice-daily subcutaneous (SC) injection regimen, which is commonly 0.3 to 0.6 mg/d.

Effects of clofibric acid on mRNA expression profiles in primary cultures of rat, mouse and human hepatocytes.
Lysiane Richert,Christelle Lamboley,Catherine Viollon-Abadie,Peter Grass,Nicole Hartmann,Stephane Laurent,Bruno Heyd,Georges Mantion,Salah-Dine Chibout,Frank Staedtler +9 more
TL;DR: An up-regulation of hepatocyte nuclear factor 1alpha by CLO was observed only in human hepatocyte cultures, suggesting that this trans-activating factor may play a key role in the regulation of fatty acid metabolism in human liver as well as in the nonresponsiveness of human liver to CLO-induced regulation of cell proliferation and apoptosis.
