Amplification of Frequency-Swept Signals in a $W$ -Band Gyrotron Travelling Wave Amplifier
TL;DR: The frequency agility of a gyrotron travelling wave amplifier (gyro-TWA) was demonstrated by the amplification of a frequency-swept input signal (chirp signal).

- 29 Oct 2018
TL;DR: In this article, a W-band gyrotron traveling wave amplifier (gyro-TWA) based on a helically corrugated interaction region achieved an unsaturated output power of 3.4 kW with a gain of up to 37 dB and a 3 dB frequency bandwidth of at least 5.5 GHz.
Characteristic measurements of a wideband gyro-TWA operating in W-band
Wenlong He,Lei Zhang,Craig R. Donaldson,Kevin Ronald,Alan D. R. Phelps,Adrian W. Cross,Peter Cain +6 more
- 01 May 2019
TL;DR: In this article, a broadband, high-power gyrotron traveling wave amplifier (gyro-TWA) was used for W-band W-frequency-swept input signals.
Measurement of W-band gyro-TWA with wide bandwidth input signal
Lei Zhang,Craig R. Donaldson,Adrian W. Cross,Wenlong He,Peter Cain +4 more
- 05 Sep 2018
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the upgrade of the input signal generation of the W-band gyro-TWA, and the experiment results with frequency-swept input signals.
