PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sweetener composition which has a sugar-like temporal profile, including onset sweetness and lingering sweetness, and/or a more sugar-like flavor profile.SOLUTION: A functional sweetener composition comprises at least one antioxidant, rebaudioside A, and erythritol, and further comprises a sweet taste improving composition. The weight ratio of the rebaudioside A and erythritol is between 1:4 and 1:800.

A sealed pack (440) contains quantities of ingredients to make an individual smoothie portion. The ingredients comprise a flavour ingredient (410) such as pieces of fruit (strawberries, raspberries, mango), a frozen portion of liquid (420) such as water, fruit juice, milk, coffee or tea; and a consistency ingredient (430) such as ice-cream, sorbet and yoghurt. The pack may be subjected to a temperature sufficiently low to maintain the frozen state of some of the ingredients in the pack (440). Also disclosed is a method of packaging the ingredients into the pack, or into first and second containers, or into a container with compartments for different ingredients in frozen and unfrozen states; and a method of preparing an individual smoothie using the sealed pack wherein the ingredients are blended with additional liquid; and an apparatus that uses the sealed pack for automatically vending an individual smoothie portion.

The invention provides milk-like beverage compositions comprising from about 1 to about 10% of one or more caseinates, from about 1 to about 10% whey protein, from about 2 to about 10% of one or more fats, from about 0.01 to about 1% one or more hydrocolloids, and from about 0.1 to about 10% one or more emulsifiers. The compositions are formulated to have a have a realistic milk-like appearance and a nutrient profile very similar to cow milk. The compositions do not contain lactose and therefore do not cause the symptoms associated with lactose intolerance.

The method comprises providing a set-delayed cement composition comprising pumice, hydrated lime, a cement set retarder, and water; activating the set-delayed cement composition to produce an activated set-delayed cement composition; introducing the activated set-delayed cement composition into the wellbore; and allowing the activated set-delayed cement composition to form a plug in the wellbore that has a permeability of less than 0.1 millidarcy.

The present invention is directed to formulations of the premix utilized in the production of a pellet structured frozen dessert type product. The pelletized frozen dessert product is manufactured by introducing the liquid premix into a body of a cryogen such as liquid nitrogen such that the small volume of liquid premix is frozen rapidly. The invention elevates the melting temperature as well as the fusing temperature of the finished pellets such that the storage and serving temperatures of the pellets are similar to the bulk products. The invention utilizes the basic formulas and names and flavors associated with bulk type frozen desserts such as Ice Cream, Sorbet, Water ice, Ice Milk, Frozen Yogurt and similar type products. The pellet produced utilizing the pre-mix is structurally stable at normal retail and home freezer situations. The formulation and manufacture of the pelletized dessert product is substantially different from bulk frozen desserts: it is in itself a unique type product. The result of this invention is a product that maintains the desired individuality of the pellets while maintaining structure, such that fusing is inhibited at the storage and serving temperature.
