Synthesis and characterization of TiO2 nanoparticles combined with geraniol and their synergistic antibacterial activity
Almotasem Bellah Younis,Vedran Milosavljevic,Tatiana Fialova,Kristýna Šmerková,Hana Michalkova,P. Švec,Peter Antal,Pavel Kopel,Vojtech Adam,Ludek Zurek,Kristyna Dolezelikova +10 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that TiO_2 NPs with GER offer a promising alternative to antibiotics, particularly for controlling antibiotic-resistant strains.

Muffin-like lanthanide complexes with an N5O2-donor macrocyclic ligand showing field-induced single-molecule magnet behaviour.
TL;DR: Three mononuclear lanthanide complexes of a 2-pyridylmethyl pendant-armed 15-membered ligand show field-induced single-molecule magnet behaviour, and coordination geometry of the [LnN5O4] cores can be described as a muffin-like shape.
Optical and crystal-chemical changes in aquamarines and yellow beryls from Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam induced by heat treatment
Jana Fridrichová,Peter Bačík,Petra Rusinová,Peter Antal,Radek Škoda,Valéria Bizovská,Marcel Miglierini +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the optical and crystal-chemical changes in two beryls after the heat treatment were determined using a wide spectrum of analytical methods, and the determined c/a ratio of 0.997-0.998 classified all the studied bergs as normal.

Interaction between chiral ions: synthesis and characterization of tartratovanadates(V) with tris(2,2′-bipyridine) complexes of iron(II) and nickel(II) as cations
TL;DR: In this paper, four new compounds composed of chiral complex cations and anions were derived by spectral methods, and their thermal decomposition was studied by simultaneous DTA, TG measurements.

Peroxido complexes of vanadium(V) as ligands. Crystal structures of [Cd(NH3)6][{VO(O2)2(OH)}2{μ-Cd(NH3)4}] and [{VO(O2)2(Im)}2{μ-Cu(Im)4}] (Im = Imidazole).
Roman Bystrický,Peter Antal,Jozef Tatiersky,Peter Schwendt,Róbert Gyepes,Róbert Gyepes,Zdirad Žák +6 more
TL;DR: Compared with complex 2, density functional theory studies reported decreased Cu-μ-O bond orders and increased μ-O-V bond orders in 3, in accordance with the expected Jahn-Teller distortion of the latter complex.
