The Roles of Left Versus Right Anterior Temporal Lobes in Semantic Memory: A Neuropsychological Comparison of Postsurgical Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Patients
TL;DR: Assessment of semantic cognition in a large group of postsurgical temporal lobe epilepsy patients with left versus right anterior temporal lobectomy supports a model in which the 2 ATLs act as a coupled bilateral system for the representation of semantic knowledge, and in which graded hemispheric specializations emerge as a consequence of differential connectivity to lateralized speech production and face perception regions.

Revealing the Dynamic Modulations That Underpin a Resilient Neural Network for Semantic Cognition: An fMRI Investigation in Patients With Anterior Temporal Lobe Resection.
TL;DR: Results indicate that 1) written word semantic processing in patients with ATL resection is supported by upregulation of semantic knowledge and control regions, principally in the undamaged hemisphere, and 2) pictorial semantic processing is less affected, presumably because it draws on a more bilateral network.

Design and performance of a focused beam line for surface x-ray diffraction
TL;DR: Focusing optics have been installed on the 5.0 T Wiggler beam line of the SRS at Daresbury Laboratory for use with x-ray diffraction measurements of surfaces and interfaces as mentioned in this paper.

Development of a patient-centred conceptual framework of health-related quality of life in neuromyelitis optica: a qualitative study.
TL;DR: Research on health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) in NMO is scarce, limiting knowledge on factors influencing HRZoL and support needs.

TL;DR: The DexEnceph trial as mentioned in this paper was the first completed randomised controlled trial of corticosteroid therapy in HSV encephalitis, with 90 patients being recruited from a target of 45 recruiting sites; patients were randomised 1:1 to the dexamethasone or control arms.
