A micro/nano-biomimetic coating on titanium orchestrates osteo/angio-genesis and osteoimmunomodulation for advanced osseointegration.
Bai Long,Peiru Chen,Ya Zhao,Ruiyue Hang,Xiaohong Yao,Bin Tang,Changsheng Liu,Yin Xiao,Ruiqiang Hang +8 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors developed a biomimetic implant coating that could confer the intraosseous implants a systematical regulation of the participatory processes, which is a sophisticated bone and implant healing process comprising of initial hematoma formation, immediate osteoimmunomodulation, angiogenesis, and osteogenesis.

Targeting Early Healing Phase with Titania Nanotube Arrays on Tunable Diameters to Accelerate Bone Regeneration and Osseointegration
Bai Long,Bai Long,Ya Zhao,Peiru Chen,Xiangyu Zhang,Xiaobo Huang,Zhibin Du,Ross Crawford,Xiaohong Yao,Bin Tang,Ruiqiang Hang,Yin Xiao,Yin Xiao +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, titania nanotube arrays (TNAs) with different diameters are fabricated on titanium and compared with pure Ti and TNA with a diameter of 120 nm (TNA 120), they showed that the clot on TNA 15 downregulated the inflammation and manipulated a favorable osteoimmunomodulatory environment for osteogenesis.

Correlation between LncRNA Profiles in the Blood Clot Formed on Nano-Scaled Implant Surfaces and Osseointegration.
TL;DR: In this paper, the sequence analysis of LncRNAs expressed within the clot formed on titania nanotube arrays (TNAs) with distinct nano-scaled diameters (TNA 15 of 15 nm, TNA 60 of 60 nm, and TNA 120 of 120 nm) on titanium surfaces was profiled for the first time.
