Apolar Bioactive Fraction of Melipona scutellaris Geopropolis on Streptococcus mutans Biofilm.
Marcos Guilherme da Cunha,Marcelo Franchin,Lívia Câmara de Carvalho Galvão,Bruno Bueno-Silva,Masaharu Ikegaki,Severino Matias de Alencar,Pedro Luiz Rosalen +6 more
TL;DR: The bioactive HF of geopropolis was promising to control the S. mutans biofilm formation, without affecting the microbial population but interfering with its structure by reducing the biochemical content of biofilm matrix.
Zoom Reconstruction Tool: Evaluation of Image Quality and Influence on the Diagnosis of Root Fracture.
Polyane Mazucatto Queiroz,Gustavo Machado Santaella,Ana Lúcia Alvares Capelozza,Pedro Luiz Rosalen,Deborah Queiroz Freitas,Francisco Haiter-Neto +5 more
TL;DR: The Zoom Reconstruction tool allows better accuracy for vertical root fracture detection in filled teeth, making it possible to obtain a higher‐resolution image from a lower‐resolution volume without having to expose the patient to more radiation.

Anti-inflammatory activity and polyphenolic profile of the hydroalcoholic seed extract of Eugenia leitonii, an unexplored Brazilian native fruit
Josy Goldoni Lazarini,Marcelo Franchin,Juliana Infante,Jonas Augusto Rizzato Paschoal,Irlan Almeida Freires,Severino Matias de Alencar,Pedro Luiz Rosalen +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors determined the anti-inflammatory activity, mechanisms of action, and polyphenolic profile of Eugenia leitonii seed extract, and measured the total phenolic content of the hydroethanolic extract from E. leitoni seeds (ESEL) was measured, and its phenolic compounds were identified by LC-MS/MS.
