Direct printing of nanostructures by electrostatic autofocussing of ink nanodroplets
Patrick Galliker,Julian Schneider,Hadi Eghlidi,Sascha Kress,Vahid Sandoghdar,Vahid Sandoghdar,Dimos Poulikakos +6 more
TL;DR: The capabilities of the electrohydrodynamic printing technique are demonstrated, including the fabrication of plasmonic nanoantennas with features sizes down to 50 nm, and an autofocussing phenomenon caused by local electrostatic field enhancement, resulting in large aspect ratio.
Electrohydrodynamic NanoDrip Printing of High Aspect Ratio Metal Grid Transparent Electrodes
Julian Schneider,Patrik Rohner,Deepankur Thureja,Martin Schmid,Patrick Galliker,Dimos Poulikakos +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the out-of-plane fabrication capability of the recently developed method of electrohydrodynamic nanoDrip printing to pattern gold and silver nanogrids with line widths from 80 to 500 nm is demonstrated.

Laccase-modified silica nanoparticles efficiently catalyze the transformation of phenolic compounds.
Patrick Galliker,Gregor Hommes,Dietmar Schlosser,Philippe F.-X. Corvini,Patrick Shahgaldian +4 more
- 01 Sep 2010
TL;DR: Analytical methods based on high performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry and gas chromatography allowing a convenient and reliable study of the enzymatic activity of the produced bio-conjugates have been developed and it is demonstrated that even if a decrease of the specific catalyticactivity of the immobilized enzyme is measured, theActivity of the bio- Conjugate remains compatible with the application of these systems to the transformation of phenolic pollutants.

Multi-nozzle print head
Dimos Poulikakos,Julian Schneider,Patrick Galliker +2 more
- 29 Jan 2015
TL;DR: A print head for depositing a liquid on a substrate comprises a layer structure including a stop layer made of a dielectric material, an electrically conducting device layer (6), and an insulator layer (7 ) made of dielectoric material.

Method for nano-dripping 1d, 2d or 3d structures on a substrate
Patrick Galliker,Julian Schneider,Dimos Poulikakos,Vahid Sandoghdar,Mohammad Hadi Eghlidi +4 more
- 25 Jun 2012
TL;DR: In this article, a method for the production of nano- or microscaled ID, 2D and/or 3D depositions from an solution, by means of a liquid reservoir for holding the ink with an outer diameter (3,D) of at least 50 nm, is proposed.
