Weak-link Josephson Junctions Made from Topological Crystalline Insulators.
R. A. Snyder,Christie J. Trimble,Charles Rong,Patrick Folkes,Patrick J. Taylor,James R. Williams +5 more
TL;DR: The fabrication of Josephson junctions are reported on, using the topological crystalline insulator Pb_{0.5}Sn_{0-5}Te}Te as the weak link and the properties are characterized and compared to those fabricated with weak links of PbTe, a similar material yet topologically trivial.

Strain-tunable Berry curvature in quasi-two-dimensional chromium telluride
Hang Chi,Yunbo Ou,Tim B. Eldred,Wenpei Gao,So-Jung Kwon,Joseph Murray,Michael Dreyer,R. E. Butera,Alexandre C. Foucher,Hailemariam Ambaye,Jong Keum,Alice Greenberg,Yuhang Liu,Mahesh R. Neupane,George de Coster,Owen Vail,P. J. Taylor,Patrick Folkes,Charles Rong,Gen Yin,Roger K. Lake,Frances M. Ross,Valeria Lauter,Don Heiman,Jagadeesh S. Moodera +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the anomalous Hall effect in pristine Cr2Te3 thin films manifests a unique temperature-dependent sign reversal at nonzero magnetization, resulting from the momentum-space Berry curvature as established by first-principles simulations.
Self-consistent electronic subband structure of undoped InAs/GaSb-based type II and broken-gap quantum well systems
TL;DR: In this article, a simple and transparent theoretical approach to calculate electronic subband structure in InAs/GaSb-based type II and broken-gap quantum well structures is presented.
Optimization of the defects and the nonradiative lifetime of GaAs/AlGaAs double heterostructures
Zehra Cevher,Patrick Folkes,H. S. Hier,Brenda L. VanMil,B. C. Connelly,W. A. Beck,Yuhang Ren +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used Raman scattering and time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy to investigate the molecular-beam-epitaxy (MBE) growth parameters that optimize the structural defects and therefore the internal radiative quantum efficiency of MBE-grown GaAs/AlGaAs double heterostructures (DH).

Magneto-infrared modes in InAs-AlSb-GaSb coupled quantum wells
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied a series of InAs/GaSb coupled quantum wells using magneto-infrared spectroscopy for high magnetic fields up to 33 T in both Faraday and tilted field geometries.
