Prevention of atrial fibrillation or flutter by acebutolol after coronary bypass grafting
Patrick Daudon,Thierry Corcos,Iradj Gandjbakhch,Jean-Pierre Levasseur,Cabrol A,Christian Cabrol +5 more
TL;DR: To determine if acebutolol, a cardioselective beta-blocking drug, preventsSupraventricular tachyarrhythmias after CABG, 100 consecutive patients were entered into a randomized, controlled study.

Early and late hemodynamic evaluation after cardiac transplantation: A study of 28 cases
Thierry Corcos,Corrado Tamburino,Philippe Léger,E. Vaissier,Patrick Rossant,Marie-Françoise Mattei,Patrick Daudon,Iradj Gandjbakhch,Alain Pavie,Cabrol A,Christian Cabrol +10 more
TL;DR: Cardiac function at rest is satisfactory at short- and long-term assessment after orthotopic cardiac transplantation, but the development and persistence of systemic arterial hypertension associated with cyclosporine use are a matter of concern in such patients.

Heterozygosity for a single mutation in the ABCC6 gene may closely mimic PXE: consequences of this phenotype overlap for the definition of PXE.
Ludovic Martin,F. Maitre,Pierre Bonicel,Patrick Daudon,Christophe Verny,Dominique Bonneau,Olivier Le Saux,Nicolas Chassaing +7 more
TL;DR: A phenotypic overlap consisting of usual, but limited, or atypical manifestations of pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) between heterozygous carriers of a single ABCC6 mutation and patients diagnosed with PXE, carriers of homozygous or compoundheterozygous mutations is illustrated.

Left ventricular systolic and diastolic function by echocardiogram in pseudoxanthoma elasticum.
TL;DR: Nineteen patients with pseudoxanthoma elasticum without a history of cardiac disease were investigated by echocardiography using standard measurements and tissue Doppler imaging, and systolic function was normal, but diastolic parameters were abnormal in 7 patients.

Operative risk in coronary bypass. A multivariate analysis of prognostic factors
Thierry Corcos,Luciani N,Iradj Gandjbakhch,Alain Pavie,M. Fontanel,Patrick Daudon,Nectoux M,Mattei Mf,Cattan S,Cabrol A +9 more
TL;DR: The results, mainly based on simple clinical variables, should facilitate the therapeutic decisions in borderline indications of coronary bypass surgery, and is even decreased in obese patients.
