A Silicon Surface Code Architecture Resilient Against Leakage Errors
Zhenyu Cai,Michael A. Fogarty,Simon Schaal,Patomaki Sofia,Simon C. Benjamin,John J. L. Morton +5 more
- 09 Dec 2019
TL;DR: A surface code architecture for silicon quantum dot spin qubits that is robust against leakage errors by incorporating multi-electron mediator dots has been proposed in this paper, where charge leakage in the qubit dots is transferred to the mediator via charge relaxation processes and then removed using charge reservoirs attached to mediators.

Control of charge carriers in quantum information processing architectures
Simon C. Benjamin,Cai Zhen-Yu,John J. L. Morton,Michael A. Fogarty,Simon Schaal,Patomaki Sofia +5 more
- 24 Sep 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for controlling charge stability in a device for quantum information processing is described, where a spinful charge carrier leaks from a confinement region of the first plurality of confinement regions.
