Papers
In vitro and in vivo evaluation of a polylactic acid-bioactive glass composite for bone fixation devices.
Gwenaelle Vergnol,Nathalie Ginsac,Nathalie Ginsac,Pascaline Rivory,Pascaline Rivory,Sylvain Meille,Sylvain Meille,Jean-Marc Chenal,Jean-Marc Chenal,Sandra Balvay,Sandra Balvay,Jérôme Chevalier,Jérôme Chevalier,Jérôme Chevalier,Daniel Hartmann,Daniel Hartmann +15 more
TL;DR: A preliminary in vivo investigation on rabbits shows that the addition of 30 wt % of Bioglass(®) in the P(L,DL)LA matrix seems to trigger bone osseointegration especially during the first month of implantation.

Gd-nanoparticles functionalization with specific peptides for ß-amyloid plaques targeting
Marie Plissonneau,Jonathan Pansieri,Laurence Heinrich-Balard,Laurence Heinrich-Balard,Jean-François Morfin,Nathalie Martine Stransky-Heilkron,Pascaline Rivory,Pascaline Rivory,Pierre Mowat,Mireille Dumoulin,Richard Cohen,Richard Cohen,Eric Allémann,Éva Tόth,Maria João Saraiva,Cédric Louis,Olivier Tillement,Vincent Forge,François Lux,C. Marquette +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have functionalized gadolinium-based MRI nanoparticles with peptides highly specific for Aβ amyloid fibrils, LPFFD and KLVFF.
On the Potential of Bulk Metallic Glasses for Dental Implantology: Case Study on Ti40Zr10Cu36Pd14
Alethea Liens,Aurélien Etiemble,Pascaline Rivory,Sandra Balvay,Jean-Marc Pelletier,S. Cardinal,Damien Fabrègue,Hidemi Kato,Philippe Steyer,Tais Munhoz,Jérôme Adrien,Nicolas Courtois,Daniel Hartmann,Jérôme Chevalier +13 more
TL;DR: The BMG shows a satisfactory cytocompatibility, a high resistance to sterilization and a good corrosion resistance, which may ensure its use as a biomaterial, and tests on dental implants reveal a load to failure 1.5-times higher than that of Ti-6Al-4V and a comparable fatigue limit.

Multimodal imaging Gd-nanoparticles functionalized with Pittsburgh compound B or a nanobody for amyloid plaques targeting
Jonathan Pansieri,Marie Plissonneau,Nathalie Martine Stransky-Heilkron,Mireille Dumoulin,Laurence Heinrich-Balard,Pascaline Rivory,Jean-François Morfin,Éva Tóth,Maria João Saraiva,Eric Allémann,Olivier Tillement,Vincent Forge,François Lux,C. Marquette +13 more
TL;DR: Nanoparticles functionalized with either the Pittsburgh compound B or a nanobody (B10AP) could represent promising flexible and multimodal imaging tools for the early diagnostic of amyloid diseases, in other words, Alzheimer's disease, Type 2 diabetes mellitus and the familial amyloidsotic polyneuropathy.
Effect of nanoclay addition on physical, chemical, optical and biological properties of experimental dental resin composites.
Tais Munhoz,Yann Fredholm,Pascaline Rivory,Sandra Balvay,Daniel Hartmann,Pedro Da Silva,Jean-Marc Chenal +6 more
TL;DR: The successful functionalization of MMT by a methacrylate group and further incorporation in experimental dental composites shows a potential interest to the application of nanoclays into dental resin composites.
