FIRST-SPIRE spectrometer: a novel imaging FTS for the submillimeter
Bruce Swinyard,Peter A. R. Ade,Matthew Joseph Griffin,Kjetil Dohlen,Jean-Paul Baluteau,D. Pouliquen,Diddier Ferand,Pascal Dargent,Guy Michel,J. Martignac,Louis Rodriguez,Donald E. Jennings,Martin E. Caldwell,Anthony G. Richards,Peter A. Hamilton,David A. Naylor +15 more
TL;DR: The SPIRE instrument for the FIRST mission will consist of a three band imaging submillimeter photometer and a two band imaging Fourier Transform Spectrometer (FTS) optimized for the 200 - 400 micrometers range, and with extended coverage out to 670 micrometer.
Variable curvature mirrors: implementation in the VLTI delay-lines for field compensation
Marc Ferrari,Gerard R. Lemaitre,Silvio P. Mazzanti,Frederic Derie,Alexis Huxley,J. Lemerrer,Patrick Lanzoni,Pascal Dargent,Anders Wallander +8 more
TL;DR: The Variable Curvature Mirror (VCM) as discussed by the authors is the only interferometer with a 2 arcsec interferometric field of view (f.o.v) available at the instruments entrance.

Optical design for the 5-28μm NGST infrared imager MIRI
Didier Dubreuil,Alain Abergel,Jacques Baudrand,Slimane Bensammar,Jacky B. Cretolle,Pascal Dargent,Philippe Galdemard,Francois Lacombe,Pierre-Olivier Lagage,Laurent Martin,Eric Prieto,Yves Rabbia,Jean-Michel Reess,Pierre Riaud,Daniel Rouan,Sophie Salasca,Alain Simeri,Gillian S. Wright,J. P. Mols +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the optical design of the MIRI imager channel as it is at the end of the phase A study, and provide three observing modes: an imaging mode with a field of view of 1.3 arcmin x 1.7 arcmin and a Pixel Field of View of 0.1 arcsec/pixel, a coronagraphic mode and a low resolution spectroscopic mode for point sources, with a spectral resolution R = λ/Δλ around 100.
