TL;DR: A retrospective, longitudinal analysis of resident case logs from 24 US ophthalmology residency programs spanned July 2005 to June 2017 found being female was associated with performing fewer cataract operations and total procedures and the increase in total procedural volume over time for men was greater than that for women.

TL;DR: Although there was no statistically significant difference between the Matrix and SAP in the detection of hemianopias, the sensitivity of SAP was higher, probably because of the obscuration of defects by scattered abnormal test locations with the Matrix.

TL;DR: Burnout in ophthalmology residents is common, occurring at similar rates as reported in residencies of other specialties, whereas most commonly cited factors that contributed to burnout included sleep deprivation, call, and workload.

TL;DR: Surgical case order might not affect complication rates of cataract surgery; however, the first case of the day was longer than subsequent cases, suggesting that a preoperative warm‐up exercise might decrease cataracts surgery time.
