Cloud computing has evolved to emerge the most topical IT paradigm in recent times. Cloud computing is rapidly transforming the IT landscape. On a pay-as-you-use basis, cloud consumers can access resources, applications and infrastructure provided by cloud providers. Such access could be in form of applications already deployed by cloud providers for use by the cloud users. It could be in form of the capability to develop and deploy user applications using services of a cloud provider. In addition, massive storage infrastructure is available for database and data supplied by the user. The cloud has several unique architectures and many more are still evolving. The primary ones are the SaaS, PaaS and the IaaS that can be deployed on private, public, community and hybrid clouds. This paper examines present developments in the cloud computing architecture and presents guidance for additional research. Papers published in journals, conferences, white papers were analyzed. The objective of this present work is to identify, examine and explain the current trends and development in cloud computing architecture. However, only 13% of the papers examined discussed Others-as-a-Service, while only 26% of the papers reviewed considered issues relating to the major actors involved in cloud computing. This will beneficial to cloud providers, users, and researchers alike

Cloud Computing Architecture: A Critical Analysis

Present Enterprise Resource Planning () offers expensive models which are hard to implement in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) due to budget limitations.Moreover, current ERP systems are associated with several issues such as mutual synchronization of multi -typed resources, limited customization, bulky upgrading cost, solution integration, industry functionality, backup hedge and technology updates. These issues render ERP systems implementation painful, complex and time consuming and generate the necessity of a massive change in ERP framework to enhance ERPsystems infrastructure and functionality. Cloud Computing (CC) platforms possess the ability to overcomeERP systems discrepancies with cost-effective, customized and highly available computing resources.The goal of this research is to merge ERP and CC benefits together to reduce the factor ofexpenditure cost and implementation delaysthrough a proposed framework. For this purpose, we firstly analyze the prominent issues in current ERP systemsthrough a comprehensive comparisonbetween ERP before and after moving to CC environment. Secondly, we propose a generic frameworkfor “Cloud-based ERP systems” in favour of SME. The proposed framework follows multi -instance based cloud infrastructure that initiates different ERP instances for different industries. Finally, the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed framework is tested through the study of the ERP system in “Awal” Company.

A Framework for ERP Systems in SME Based on Cloud Computing Technology

Cloud computing (CC) has received significant attention from different types of businesses and Industries and emerged as a new utility for businesses activities. The philosophy behind CC shows a great potential to transform a major part of the IT industry, making computing environment and resources even more attractive as a cost-effective service and changing the way IT hardware is designed and purchased. Resulting day by day more small and medium and large enterprise are adopting different types of CC services. However, strong market competitive environment for converting existing IT services to CC environment imposed different types of challenges for the CC architect. Development of CC architect environment in any organisation is a very complex process and success depends on its proper architecture design and development according to business requirements. The aim of this paper identifies the major type of key factors from literature and provides different guidelines for organisations to support the CC architecture development process. Finally, the different types of CC services generally referred to as CC architect are explained how they all work. This paper will be helpful and provides certain guidance on situations where specific types of CC services are particularly not the best option for any organization.

Analysis on Cloud Computing Architectures

: Cloud computing has lately been deployed in educational institutions for a range of services and applications by way of virtualization of computing resources such as processors, memory, storage and networking. This paper discusses the use of cloud computing in tutorial group discussions as a teaching pedagogy and its influence in learning. It explores the essentials in tutorial group discussions in class including the preparations, activities, processes, benefits and opportunities. The research utilized a mixed method approach including qualitative and quantitative for data collection, then both action research and agile software development to develop and test the cloud computing based tutorial management system (Tutmas). Results indicated that both students and lecturers appreciated the benefits and usefulness of regular tutorials. Further, both students and lecturers appreciated the role of the cloud based Tutmas platform in improving efficiency in the management of tutorials and enhancement of students’ learning experiences and academic skills.

It has the potential to reduce information and communications technology (ICT) costs by virtualizing capital assets like disk storage and processing cycles into a readily available, affordable operating expense. Unfortunately, architects more often than not assume that simply adding another server into the mix can fix any performance problem and security issues. Cloud is a platform shuffle that enables a fierce and contentious debate on the issues of security and performance surrounding how to secure information and instantiate trust in an increasingly open and assumed-hostile web operating environment. When you start adding new hardware/update existing hardware in a web cloud, the complexity starts increasing which affects performance and hence security. Here we will define the algorithms to keep both performance and data secure but flexible enough to allow for expandability. In this paper, we have highlighted the following critical issues for the leading Cloud Computing such as Characteristics of cloud computing, threats and performance analysis. This paper specifically discuss about the below-mentioned in detail.
