A protective broadly cross-reactive human antibody defines a conserved site of vulnerability on beta-coronavirus spikes
Panpan Zhou,Meng Yuan,Ge Song,Nathan Beutler,Namir Shaabani,Deli Huang,Wan-ting He,Xueyong Zhu,Sean Callaghan,Peter Yong,Fabio Anzanello,Linghang Peng,James Ricketts,Mara Parren,Elijah Garcia,Stephen A. Rawlings,Davey M. Smith,David Nemazee,John R. Teijaro,Thomas F. Rogers,Thomas F. Rogers,Ian A. Wilson,Dennis R. Burton,Raiees Andrabi +23 more
TL;DR: In this article, CC408 targets the conserved S2 stem-helix region of the coronavirus spike fusion machinery and exhibits broad reactivity with human β-CoVs.

Burton,Raiees Andrabi +38 more
TL;DR: This paper showed that immunization of rhesus macaques with SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein generates potent receptor binding domain cross-neutralizing antibody (nAb) responses to both SARS and CoV-1.
Structural definition of a pan-sarbecovirus neutralizing epitope on the spike S2 subunit.

TL;DR: In this paper, a neutralizing monoclonal antibody, CV3-25, was identified that binds to the SARS-CoV-2 fusion machinery, neutralizes the Sars-CoVs-2 Beta variant comparably to the ancestral Wuhan Hu-1 strain, cross neutralizes SARS CoV-1 and displays cross reactive binding to recombinant proteins derived from the spike-ectodomains of HCoV OCC43 and HCOV-HKU1.
Targeted isolation of panels of diverse human broadly neutralizing antibodies against SARS-like viruses
Wan-ting He,Rami Musharrafieh,Ge Song,Katharina Dueker,Sean Callaghan,Peter Yong,Nathan Beutler,Jonathan L. Torres,Reid M. Burton,Raiees Andrabi +22 more
TL;DR: In this article, a targeted donor selection strategy was used to isolate a large panel of broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) to sarbecoviruses from two such donors, and the bnAbs were remarkably effective in neutralization against sarcevirus that use ACE2 for viral entry and also show strong binding to non-ACE2-using sarceveirus.
