The Impacts of Air Temperature on Accidental Casualties in Beijing, China
TL;DR: The lag analysis indicated that the overall impacts of temperatures higher than the 50th percentile on ER visits occur immediately, whereas low temperatures show protective effects in the first few days, and meteorological variables that positively correlated with temperature have a positive relationship with the number of ER visits, and vice versa.
Temperature modulation of adverse consequences of ozone exposure on cardiovascular mortality: A study of multiple cities in China
Yin Zhang,Tian Qiqi,Xiaoyu Wei,Xinyuan Feng,Pan Ma,Wendong Hu,Jinyuan Xin,Changjian Ni,Shigong Wang,Canjun Zheng +9 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper adopted two advanced time series Poisson generalized additive models (GAMs) including a nonparametric bivariate response surface model and a stratification parametric model to investigate the modification effect of temperature on ozone-related cardiovascular mortality in 13 cities in China from 2014 to 2016.

Meteorological rhythms of respiratory and circulatory diseases revealed by Harmonic Analysis
TL;DR: By decomposing the sequence of respiratory and circulatory diseases as well as recognizing their meteorological rhythms, different responses to meteorological conditions on various time scales were identified.

Effect of diurnal temperature change on cardiovascular risks differed under opposite temperature trends.
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors evaluated the associations of TCNs with emergency room (ER) visits for coronary heart disease (CHD) and cerebral infarction (CI) in Beijing, China, from 2008 to 2012.
