An assessment of prevalence of Type 1 CFI rare variants in European AMD, and why lack of broader genetic data hinders development of new treatments and healthcare access
Amy V. Jones,Darin Curtiss,Claire Harris,Tom Southerington,M. Hautalahti,P. Wihuri,Johanna Mäkelä,Roosa E. Kallionpää,Enni Makkonen,Theresa Knopp,Arto Mannermaa,Erna Mäkinen,Anni M. Moilanen,Tongalp H. Tezel,Nadia K Waheed +14 more
TL;DR: The relationship between Type 1 CFI rare variants increasing odds of AAMD are well established in Europeans, however the lack of broader genetic data in AAMD has adverse implications for clinical development and future commercialisation strategies of targeted FI therapies in A AMD.
Re-contacting biobank participants: lessons from a pilot study within FinnGen
Rodosthenis S. Rodosthenous,Mari Niemi,Lauri Kallio,Pertti Terho,Maritta Perala,T. Knopp,E. Punkka,Enni Makkonen,Piia Nurmi,J. Makela,P. Wihuri,M. Hautalahti,Claire E. TL;DR: This pilot study suggests that re-contacting FinnGen participants with the goal to collect a wide range of cognitive, behavioral, and lifestyle information without additional engagement, results in a low participation rate, but with reliable data.
POSC140 Value Assessment Modelling of Fingenious® Recall Service for Clinical Trials
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compared a national patient recall service in Fingenious (PRS) with a conventional patient recruitment method with a value assessment model (VAM) developed using the R programming language.
