Electric and adsorption properties of pharmaceutical polymers. Part I: Electrokinetics of Aquacoat
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical surface properties of Aquacoat, a polymer latex of great interest in pharmaceutical sciences, were analyzed using electrophoresis and the effect of pH, electrolyte and surfactant concentration on the electrophoretic mobility of the latex particles.

Electrokinetic studies of monodisperse hematite particles: effects of inorganic electrolytes and amino acids
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of pH on the electrophoretic mobility of monodisperse hematite particles was investigated and it was shown that pH appears to be a determinant factor in the way such interactions occur.

Electrokinetics and stability of a cellulose acetate phthalate latex
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental investigation on the surface electric characteriza- tion of a commercially available latex, Aquateric, composed of cellulose acetate phthalate polymer particles, and used in enteric-controlled drug release is described.

TL;DR: It is found that, even for the lowest BMP concentration, the drug molecules adsorb onto the particles, changing their surface charge from positive to negative, suggesting that electrostatic interactions are not the only forces responsible for adsorption.
