Search and research of K̄NNN and K̄K̄NN antikaonic clusters

We have investigated the prototype kaonic nucleus, $ppK^-$, using the method of Antisymmetrized Molecular Dynamics (AMD). In the present study we use a realistic $NN$ potential with strongly repulsive core, and a Chiral SU(3)-based $\bar{K}N$ interaction which is energy-dependent and includes both $s$- and p-wave interactions. We find that no self-consistent solutions exist when the range parameter of the $\bar{K}N$ interaction is less than 0.67 fm. Due to the strong repulsion of the $NN$ interaction at short distance, the two nucleons in $ppK^-$ keep a distance of about 1.2 fm and the total binding energy of $ppK^-$ does not exceed about 50 MeV in the scope of our current analysis.

Study of light kaonic nuclei with a Chiral SU(3) - based KbarN interaction

We measured the neutron time-of-flight spectrum in the ^4He(stopped K^-, n) reaction by stopping negative kaons in a superfluid helium target. 
A clear enhancement was observed in the neutron spectrum, which indicates the formation of a strange tribaryon of charge +1 with a mass and width of M = 3141 +/- 3 (stat.) +4/-1 (sys.) MeV/c^2 and G < 23 MeV/c^2. This state, denoted as S^+(3140), is about 25 MeV/c^2 higher than the previously observed S^0(3115) T=1.

We measured a neutron energy spectrum by means of time-of-flight (TOF) from the 4 He(K − stopped ,n) reaction by stopping negative kaons in a super-fluid helium target. A distinct peak was observed in the neutron spectrum, indicating the formation of a strongly bound kaonic system, K − ppn, with the binding energy and width, BKppn = 173 ± 4 MeV and Kppn . 25 MeV, respectively.
