Isolation from human plasma of a plasminogen activator identical to urinary high molecular weight urokinase.
TL;DR: Two different plasmatic plasminogen activators (PA) can be demonstrated after sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of plasma freshly collected from resting volunteers, followed by transfer of the gels onto plasMinogen-rich fibrin-agarose plates.
Two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis of cryoglobulins and identification of an IgM-associated peptide.
Jean-Daniel Tissot,Jürg A. Schifferli,Denis F. Hochstrasser,Christian Pasquali,François Spertini,François Clément,Séverine Frutiger,Nicole Paquet,Graham J. Hughes,P. Schneider +9 more
TL;DR: The clonality of immunoglobulins (Igs) in cryoprecipitates was studied by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-D PAGE) and two cryoglobULins presented unexpected 2-D patterns, characterized by the presence of oligoclonal IgM, with trace amounts of Igs of different isotypes.

Two-dimensional electrophoretic analysis of cryoproteins: a report of 335 samples.
TL;DR: 2‐DE analysis of 335 cryoproteins from patients with heterogeneous clinical conditions clearly shows that 2‐DE is a suitable technique to analyze cryoglobulins.

TL;DR: The Granulocyte Antigen Working Party of the ISBT agreed at their meeting in S’Agaró, Spain, in 1998 to establish a new nomenclature system for well-defined neutrophil alloantigens, which is based on the following rules: Neutrophil antigens are to be called HNA for ‘human neutrophIL antigen(s)’.

The direct antiglobulin test: still a place for the tube technique?
TL;DR: The gel test appeared to be less sensitive than the conventional tube technique when utilized for DAT, praticularly when C3d was present on red blood cells.
