The four-prong annihilation of 1.2 GeV/c antiprotons in hydrogen (I): Four-pion final state
R.A. Donald,D.N. Edwards,R.S. Moore,E.J.C. Read,S. Reucroft,A.G. Frodesen,T. Jacobsen,S. Sire,O. Skjeggestad,P. Saetre,H. Tøfte,A. Bettini,S. Limentani,L. Peruzzo,R. Santangelo,S. Sartori +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the center-of-mass angular distributions of the pions are presented, and a change in the momentum dependence of the forward-backward asymmetry of pions is observed at a pion momentum corresponding to the production of A2±π+.

Predictions of multi-Regge models for the antiproton-proton annihilation to four charged pions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the predictions of the multi-Regge model of Chan and of two modified versions by Plahte and Roberts and by Roberts have been examined by comparison with observations for the annihilation channel p+p → 2π+ + 2π− at 1.2, 3.3 and 5.7 GeV/c incoming antiproton momentum.

The spin and parity of the A2± produced in pp annihilations
R.A. Donald,D.N. Edwards,R.S. Moore,E.J.C. Read,S. Reucroft,A.G. Frodesen,T. Jacobsen,S. Sire,P. Saetre,H. Tøfte,Alessandro Bettini,Alessandro Bettini,S. Limentani,S. Limentani,L. Peruzzo,L. Peruzzo,R. Santangelo,R. Santangelo,S. Santori,S. Santori +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, evidence supporting the assignment J P = 2 + for the A 2 meson was obtained from analysis of p p → ππππ π with 1.2 GeV/ c antiprotons.

The four-prong annihilation of 1.2 GeV/c antiprotons in hydrogen (II) π+π+π−π−π0 final state
R.A. Donald,D.N. Edwards,R.S. Moore,E.J.C. Read,S. Reucroft,T. Buran,A.G. Frodesen,S. Sire,P. Saetre,Alessandro Bettini,S. Limentani,L. Peruzzo,R. Santangelo,S. Sartori +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed 17,000 four-prong annihilations of 1.2 GeV/c antiprotons in hydrogen and considered those events with one neutral pion (5π), showing production of ϱ 0, ϱ ±, f 0, ω 0, η 0 mesons.
