Electrocatalytic Properties of Ni-Based Alloys Toward Hydrogen Evolution Reaction in Acid Media
TL;DR: In this article, the electrocatalytic performance of Ni-based alloys was studied by means of linear polarization, cyclic voltammetry, and potential step techniques, and the experimental results can be interpreted in terms of a pronounced synergy between Ni, which has internally paired d electrons and W or Mo, which have empty or half-filled d orbitals and therefore, bind hydrogen atoms strongly.

Electrodeposited Co-Fe and Co-Fe-Ni alloy films for magnetic recording write heads
Xiaomin Liu,P. Evans,Giovanni Zangari +2 more
- 01 Sep 2000
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the ratio of Co and Fe concentrations in the electrolyte on the composition and magnetic properties of the deposits is examined, and a maximum saturation magnetization of 20.4 kG is obtained, however the films showed high coercivity (20 to 30 Oe).

Electrodeposition of Sm–Co nanoparticles from aqueous solutions
TL;DR: In this article, short pulse electrodeposition using aqueous solutions containing glycine as complexant and buffering agent was used to synthesize SmCo nanoparticles. But the results were limited to the case when the relative Sm content was about 20% and particle size around 80nm.

Structure and magnetic properties of electrodeposited Ni films on n-GaAs(001)
C. Scheck,C. Scheck,P. Evans,Rainer Schad,Rainer Schad,Giovanni Zangari,Giovanni Zangari,John R. Williams,Tamara Isaacs-Smith +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the structural and magnetic properties of Ni films grown on GaAs(001) using electrodeposition, covering the thickness range 0-80 nm, were reported.

Electrodeposition of epitaxial nickel films on GaAs
TL;DR: In this article, the structural and magnetic properties of Ni films grown by electrodeposition from simple sulfate solutions directly onto the (0,0,1) and (0,1, 1) surfaces of n-GaAs have been studied.
