An ion cooler-buncher for high-sensitivity collinear laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE
E. Mané,J. Billowes,Klaus Blaum,P. Campbell,Bradley Cheal,P. Delahaye,Kieran Flanagan,D. H. Forest,H. Franberg,Christopher Geppert,T. Giles,A. Jokinen,Magda Kowalska,Rainer Neugart,Gerda Neyens,Wilfried Nörtershäuser,Ivan Podadera,G. Tungate,P. Vingerhoets,Deyan T. Yordanov +19 more
TL;DR: A gas-filled segmented linear Paul trap has been installed at the focal plane of the high-resolution separator (HRS) at CERN-ISOLDE, which is able to accumulate the ions and release the sample in bunches with a well-defined time structure.
Unambiguous Identification of Three ß-Decaying Isomers in Cu-70

Van de Vel,P. Van Duppen,A. Van Dyck,W. B. Walters,L. Weissman,C. Yazidjian +34 more
TL;DR: Using resonant laser ionization, beta-decay studies, and for the first time mass measurements, three betadecaying states have been unambiguously identified in 70Cu as mentioned in this paper.
Restoration of the N=82 shell gap from direct mass measurements of Sn-132,Sn-134
M. Dworschak,G. Audi,Klaus Blaum,P. Delahaye,Sebastian George,U. Hager,Frank Herfurth,Alexander Herlert,Alban Kellerbauer,H.-J. Kluge,David Lunney,Lutz Schweikhard,C. Yazidjian +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, a high-precision direct Penning trap mass measurement has revealed a 0.5-MeV deviation of the binding energy of (134)Sn from the currently accepted value.
Coulomb excitation of neutron-rich Zn isotopes: First observation of the 2(1)(+) state in Zn-80
J. Van de Walle,F. Aksouh,F. Ames,T. Behrens,V. Bildstein,A. Blazhev,Joakim Cederkäll,Emyr Clement,Thomas Elias Cocolios,Thomas Davinson,P. Delahaye,J. Eberth,Andreas Ekström,D. V. Fedorov,V. N. TL;DR: For the first time the 2+ --> 0(1)+ transition in 80Zn was observed at 1492(1) keV, and a good N=50 shell closure and a strong Z=28 proton core polarization are indicated.
"Safe" Coulomb excitation of 30Mg.
O. Niedermaier,Heiko Scheit,V. Bildstein,H. Boie,J. Fitting,R. von Hahn,F. Köck,M. Lauer,U. K. Pal,Holger Podlech,R. Repnow,Dirk Schwalm,C. Alvarez,F. Ames,Georg Bollen,S. TL;DR: The first radioactive beam experiment performed at the recently commissioned REX-ISOLDE facility at CERN in conjunction with the highly efficient gamma spectrometer MINIBALL confirms the theoretical conjecture that the neutron-rich magnesium isotope 30Mg resides outside the "island of inversion".
