Synthesis of poly-(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-12 mol % 3-hydroxyvalerate) by Bacillus cereus FB11: its characterization and application as a drug carrier
TL;DR: In vitro drug release studies showed that % inhibition of A549 cancer cell line receiving ellipticine loaded poly-(3-Hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) nanoparticles was two-fold higher in comparison to ellipticines alone.

Biosynthesis and Characterization of Poly-(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) from Bacillus cereus S10
TL;DR: The biodegradable and biocompatible copolymer poly-(3-Hydroxybutyrate-co-5 mol% 3-hydroxyvalerate) was synthesized by Bacillus cereus S10 and the highest yield was determined as 69.91 % at pH 7 and 30 °C after 48 h of incubation using a glucose as the sole carbon source.

Encapsulation of Ellipticine in poly-(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) based nanoparticles and its in vitro application
TL;DR: In vitro cytotoxicity tests confirmed that the blank PHBV-S, PHB V-11 and PHBv-15 nanoparticles were demonstrating significant biocompatibility without affecting the survival of cancer cell line A549.
