Neogene structures overprinting Palaeozoic thrust systems in the Andean Precordillera at 30°S latitude
Joaquina Alvarez-Marrón,R. Rodriguez-Fernandez,Nemesio Heredia,P. Busquets,Ferran Colombo,Dennis Brown +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 30°S latitude transect of the Precordillera in NW Argentina was studied and it was shown that Neogene to recent deformation caused high-angle faulting that uplifted and breached a Palaeozoic east-verging thrust stack.
Quaternary alluvial terraces in an active tectonic region: the San Juan River Valley, Andean Ranges, San Juan Province, Argentina
TL;DR: The San Juan River is antecedent as is suggested by its two perpendicular segments linked by an almost parallel segment to the main structural trend along the Precordillera and other geologic units as mentioned in this paper.

Interplay between longitudinal fluvial and transverse alluvial fan systems and growing thrusts in a piggyback basin (SE Pyrenees)
TL;DR: In this article, the integration of sedimentological and structural data in the western end of the Ripoll syncline allows a clearer understanding of the palaeogeography of the area between the oblique termination of the Pedraforca thrust sheet and the frontal Vallfogona thrust during middle Eocene times.

Miocene sedimentary and tectonic evolution of the Andean Precordillera at 31°S, Argentina
TL;DR: The Miocene Albarracin Formation is a 1400m-thick fluvial and alluvial succession interfingered with significant volcaniclastic deposits as mentioned in this paper, and the ages of the infill ranges from 18.0±2.6 to an extrapolated 7.1±1.4.

A late Paleozoic fossil forest from the southern Andes, Argentina
Silvia N. Césari,P. Busquets,I. Méndez-Bedia,Ferran Colombo,Carlos Oscar Limarino,Raúl Cardó,Gloria Gallastegui +6 more
TL;DR: An anatomical and ecological study of a Late Pennsylvanian-early Permian assemblage of silicified trunks from the San Ignacio Formation of southern Andean Cordillera is detailed in this paper.
