Petrography and mineral chemistry of carbonatites and mica-rich rocks from the Araxá complex (Alto Paranaíba Province, Brazil)
Gianbosco Traversa,Celso B. Gomes,P. Brotzu,Nicoletta Buraglini,L. Morbidelli,M. S. Principato,Sara Ronca,Excelso Ruberti +7 more
TL;DR: The Araxa complex as discussed by the authors comprises carbonatites forming a central core and a complex network of concentric and radial dykes as well as small veins; additionally, it includes mica-rich rocks, phoscorites and lamprophyres.
Miocene to quaternary volcanism in eastern Kenya: Sequence and geochronology
TL;DR: The results of the first systematic geochronological study of widespread volcanic sequences in the region east of the Kenya Rift Valley between the Nyambeni Hills near the equator and the Hurri Hills-Dukana area close to the Ethiopian border are presented in this article.

The Cretaceous Igneous Province of Madagascar: Geochemistry and Petrogenesis of Lavas and Dykes from the Central-Western Sector
TL;DR: In this paper, Buchan et al. describe a dyke that crops out in the area between the contributions of hotspot (usually taken to be plume) Mailaka limestones and the contact between the Permo-mantle and non-hotspot asthenosphere to flood basalt Triassic sedimentary rocks of the Morondava basin.

The tholeiitic dyke swarm of the Arraial do Cabo peninsula (SE Brazil): 39Ar/40Ar ages, petrogenesis, and regional significance
L. Bennio,P. Brotzu,Massimo D'Antonio,Gilbert Féraud,Celso B. Gomes,Andrea Marzoli,Leone Melluso,L. Morbidelli,Vincenzo Brescia Morra,Cédric Rapaille,Excelso Ruberti +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present 40Ar/39Ar age determinations and chemical and Sr-Nd isotopic data for the tholeiitic dyke swarm cropping out at Arraial do Cabo peninsula at the eastern end of the Rio de Janeiro coastline.

Geochemical provinciality in the Cretaceous basaltic magmatism of northern Madagascar; mantle source implications
Leone Melluso,Vincenzo Brescia Morra,P. Brotzu,Luigi Franciosi,A. M. Petteruti Lieberknecht,L. Bennio +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the chemistry and isotopic variations of mafic and intermediate samples from the western subprovince have low abundances of high field strength elements (e.g. Nb 2-9 ppm; Zr 50-230 ppm), negative Nb anomalies on mantle-normalized diagrams, and a wide range of initial (88 Ma) 143 Nd/ 144 Nd (0.51293-0.51197; e Nd +7.9 to −10.9).
