Chromosomal map locations of integrated plasmids and related elements in Staphylococcus aureus.
TL;DR: It is concluded that the pI258 ermB locus is a component of a translocatable element, and the chromosomal location of the Ps53 bla locus has been established, suggesting that this gene can also translocate.

Translocatable elements in Staphylococcus aureus.
TL;DR: The properties of the first translocatable element in Gram-positive bacteria, a 5.2 kb segment encoding erythromycin resistance in S. aureus, are described and preliminary evidence for translocation of penicillin and chloramphenicol resistance is presented.

Sequential transposition of Tn916 among Staphylococcus aureus protoplasts
TL;DR: The ability of Tn916 to transpose within S. aureus and occupy diverse chromosomal sites demonstrates the value of this transposon in genetic studies of S. faecalis.
