Effect of microwaves on some gram negative and gram positive bacteria
Serap Gedikli,Özge Tabak,Özlem Tomsuk,Ahmet Çabuk +3 more
- 01 Jan 2008
TL;DR: Experimental data shows that microwaves apparently produced lethal effects on the examined bacteria by heat generated during microwave exposure, and water activity was not changed microwave efficiency for the each examined bacteria under the determined optimum conditions.

Biosorption characteristics of Bacillus sp. ATS-2 immobilized in silica gel for removal of Pb(II).
TL;DR: Optimum biosorption conditions were investigated in the fixed bed column with the variation in the parameters of pH, bed length, flow rate and influent concentration and the Pb(II) biosOrption equilibrium was attained within 60 min and the maximum biosor adaptation yield for silica gel immobilized Bacillus sp.
